Race preparations underway

Over the past few weekends Mary & Jerry have
been preparing for the Race. Twohanded, they followed the SORC fleet who were
doing the singlehanded Round the Island (Wight) Race which was a good
opportunity to test different sails in racing conditions. During the early
May Bank Holiday weekend they took part in the Royal Southampton Yacht Club's
Twohanded Race to Cherbourg where they had a bad start and finish but QII showed
her paces during the middle of the Race.  The next weekend was
a non-stop cruise of just over 300nm where a lot of cobwebs were
shaken off . Planned next is a day of much needed practice of
manoevres
